Festival du Malouf de Testour

مهرجان المالوف بتستور

Heritage
Testour, BéjaJuneSince 1967Capacity: 800

The Testour Malouf Festival is Tunisia's oldest traditional music festival. It is entirely dedicated to malouf, Tunisian Arab-Andalusian music inherited from the Moriscos expelled from Spain in the 17th century.

Testour, a small town in north-western Tunisia founded by the Andalusians, preserves architecture and culture deeply marked by this Hispano-Moorish heritage. The festival is held in the great mosque and public spaces of the town.

This unique event preserves and transmits an intangible musical heritage of exceptional richness, attracting music lovers and specialists in Arab-Andalusian music.
