The Journées Théâtrales de Carthage (JTC) is one of the most prestigious theatre festivals in the Arab world and Africa. Created in 1983, the festival is held biennially in alternation with the JCC, featuring over 80 performances from across the African continent and the Arab world.
The festival hosts professional and amateur theatre companies in various halls of the Cité de la Culture and the Municipal Theatre of Tunis. The JTC is also a space for reflection and debate on contemporary theatre through symposia and professional meetings.
A true laboratory for the performing arts, the JTC has contributed to the emergence of numerous talents in Tunisian, Arab and African theatre, and remains an unmissable event for performing arts professionals.
