Dream City

Dream City is a biennial of contemporary in-situ art that takes over the public spaces of the Medina of Tunis. This unique festival transforms palaces, alleyways, terraces and abandoned spaces into places of artistic expression.

The festival brings together Tunisian and international artists around installations, performances, videos and visual interventions that engage with the architectural and human heritage of the Medina. Each edition explores a theme related to contemporary issues in Tunisian society.

Dream City has become a benchmark for contemporary art in North Africa, recognised for its ability to create dialogue between tradition and modernity, heritage and contemporary creation, in a spirit of openness and experimentation.
