جو تونس
Jaou Tunis is a biennial of contemporary art organised by the Kamel Lazaar Foundation. Since 2013, it has transformed the medina and public spaces of Tunis into open-air galleries, hosting over 60 Tunisian and international artists.
The festival offers installations, performances, screenings and exhibitions in historic palaces, fondouks and public spaces of the medina. Each edition explores a theme related to contemporary social and cultural issues in the Arab world.
Jaou Tunis has become a major contemporary art event in North Africa, recognised for creating dialogue between art, heritage and public space.
