Ahmet Mecnun

Ahmet Mecnun, is a Tunisian DJ who began mixing his first tracks at the age of 14. He grew up surrounded by a variety of musical influences, which allowed him to captivate crowds with his unique sound. Initially focusing on Deep Tech and Minimal Techno, Ahmet expanded his repertoire over time to include Tech House, Dark Tech, and other electronic music styles. In 2008, Ahmet ventured into music production, collaborating with renowned labels such as Tip Tap Records, Expectancy, Ole Music, OnOff Recordings, La Pera, Phosphenes Lab, and Undertechnical. His consistent output helped him earn a respected place in the electronic music industry. Influenced by iconic DJs like Marco Carola, Marc Antona, Paco Osuna, and Richie Hawtin, Ahmet continued to refine his craft. A pivotal moment in Ahmet's career occurred in 2023 when he underwent a significant shift in his musical direction. He embraced electro, acid, and breakbeat as his primary styles, exploring fresh, experimental sounds. That year, he released his first track on vinyl with Terrazzo, followed by his first EP on vinyl with Tvinyl later in the year. With more vinyl releases on the way, Ahmet's new artistic direction is poised to make a lasting impact on the electronic music scene. Ahmet's talent has taken him beyond Tunisia, where he has performed at notable international gigs in Paris, Austria, Madrid, and Algeria, showcasing his ability to connect with diverse audiences. His work has been praised and supported by industry giants such as Marco Carola, Paco Osuna, Stefano Noferini, Nicole Moudaber, and Leon, securing his place as one of the leading figures in the electronic music world.
