The trail
A long flat beach walk from the walled medina of Hammamet south-west along the Gulf of Hammamet to the marina of Yasmine Hammamet.
Hammamet grew around a small walled medina and kasbah right on the sand. From the medina the walk follows the beach south-west, past the gardens and hotels of the old resort, to the modern Yasmine Hammamet and its marina. It is flat and easy, one of the most walked routes in the country, and best at the ends of the day when the light is low over the gulf.
