Amphitheatre of El Jem (Thysdrus)

A huge Roman amphitheatre built around 238-250 in the town of Thysdrus, with three tiers of arcades and underground passages for animals. It is among the best preserved in the Roman world and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979.
