Movie Night February 27th : Jaha Festival

After a long-needed break for the collective, we are slowly and softly getting back with a small, cosy event.

Recently, we discovered an online queer film festival, JAHA festival 2026, and we thought about sharing this opportunity with you through a screening of movies made by queer directors from the global majority about TIN (Trans, Intersex, Non-binary) stories. With that said, we are delighted to invite you to a movie night at the warmth and cosiness of Atelier Meso.

During this gathering, we will be screening Transfinite as well as other selections of short movies from the JAHA Festival.

JAHA Festival: is a radical and joyful celebration of trans, intersex, and nonbinary (TIN) filmmakers from the Global Majority. JAHA's work brings to light stories systematically suppressed by the intertwined forces of religious supremacy, colonial power, and new fascism and other totalitarian systems imposed by the West. Their mission is to platform TIN stories from the Global Majority to celebrate diversity, fortify global solidarity, and sear truths into the world’s imagination through film.

Transfinite: an award-winning sci-fi omnibus feature film composed of seven standalone magical, realistic short stories where supernatural trans and queer people from various cultures use their powers to protect, love, teach, fight, and thrive. It has been screened worldwide in 80+ festivals and educational institutions.

NEELU BHUMAN (they/them) / Director-Producer Neelu Bhuman is an independent filmmaker playfully exploring nuanced viewpoints on race, gender, sexuality, culture, class, and romance. Their work foregrounds the resilience and resistance of marginalized communities in the face of political and personal duress.

Due to the venue's very limited capacity, only a few spots will be available. First booked first served !

The event is free, but donations are welcome (all donations will be allocated to the members of our community who are in need of financial support).

Cushy pillows will be provided, and you can buy coffee and snacks in the venue. See you there!
