About
The City of Culture is the main cultural complex of Tunis, on avenue Mohamed V, opened on 21 March 2018. Under one roof it gathers three theatres, a cinematheque and exhibition spaces, and houses the Tunis Opera and the major events of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. The three performance halls: the Opera Theatre, 1,800 seats; the Théâtre des Régions, 700 seats; and the Théâtre des Jeunes Créateurs, 300 seats. Symphonic and Arab music concerts, opera, dance, theatre, festivals and ceremonies follow one another all year.
The halls
Opera Theatre: 1,800 seats, the main hall for concerts, opera and ballet. Théâtre des Régions: 700 seats, for theatre and mid-size concerts. Théâtre des Jeunes Créateurs: 300 seats, for new work and young companies.
The Tunisian cinematheque, the exhibition halls and the outdoor spaces complete the complex. Each hall has its own page of dates here: the Opera Theatre and the Théâtre des Régions are linked below.
Tickets
Tickets are sold at the Cité's counter on avenue Mohamed V and online: the Tunis Opera's productions through its own box office, other shows depending on the organiser. Each date listed above says where its ticket is sold.
