The Carthage Film Days (JCC) is the oldest film festival in the Arab world and Africa. Created in 1966, this biennial (now annual) festival is a benchmark for Arab and African cinema.

The JCC takes place in cinemas and halls across Tunis, with screenings, masterclasses, meetings with directors and an official competition awarding the best Arab and African films. The Golden Tanit is the festival's most coveted prize.

This festival plays a crucial role in promoting Southern cinema and discovering new talent. It has launched numerous filmmakers who went on to become major figures in world cinema.
