A fenced block of pre-Saharan steppe north of Ben Gardane, created to let overgrazed grassland recover; satellite images show the vegetation inside the fence against bare ground outside. Scimitar-horned oryx, ostrich and gazelle have been reintroduced.

PERMIT
Yes. Entry is by authorisation from the Direction Generale des Forets or the Medenine forestry commissariat.
GUIDE
A warden accompanies visits.
SEASON
October to April.
RULES
The park is fenced and access is through the guarded gate only; keep to the tracks so the restored grassland is not damaged.
