The bare rock islets east and west of La Galite, 60 km off the north coast, mapped as nature reserve. They are seabird ground inside the specially protected marine area of the archipelago, and the water around them is some of the clearest in Tunisia.
Rules
A PERMIT IS NEEDED TO VISIT
- PERMIT
- The archipelago is a protected marine area; landing and diving need authorisation, and there is a National Guard post on La Galite.
- GUIDE
- Access is by boat from Tabarka with a licensed operator.
- SEASON
- Summer, when the sea allows the crossing.
- RULES
- No landing on the islets during the seabird breeding season; no fishing or collecting inside the protected area.

- Volcanic and sedimentary islets with sea cliffs, Cystoseira algal beds and Posidonia meadows
- Wildlife
- Breeding seabirds; the archipelago is historic Mediterranean monk seal habitat
- Getting there
- About 60 km north of Tabarka; La Galite itself is the only inhabited island
