Hammamet, Nabeul
Pupput, just south of Hammamet, was a village under Carthage that the emperor Commodus raised to a Roman colony in 185-192 AD. Hotel building took much of the old town, but a park of about 4 ha keeps a residential quarter with houses, mosaics and baths.
